Blog Entry 8 of Noir

I If I had to recommend a story from "The Method". I would chose "The Method". The reason why I would recommend “ The Method” is because the plot was more interesting. from the start of the beginning when I started reading I was  confused but as I continued to read then I stared to understand it way better the story was explainable, and gave detail were it took place,  the only down side of “The Method” is that the author used to much foul language and to much sex talk in my opinion I really don’t like those types but other then that the story was good. Like at the beginning of the story Richard played as a mysterious guy with Holly. Even though she felt for an older genteleman. she was still smart not to trust Richard. she figured it all out and instead of Killing Mariah the women that didn’t do anything wrong for she was not guilty, she kills the selfish man, that cant do his own things for him self and uses a girl to do his evil work . The more exiting part of the story was how things ended up   with Richard. He was killed with rat poison. He died as a rat that he was. “Morocco Junction 90210” was a good story also but to me it was a bit uninteresting. Not a lot was going on not that interesting.

the two face and which one compares!

Vfemininity in light of deconstructed and reconstructed gender roles." Therefore, female characters have something else in their minds than being beautiful, treacherous, and being killed. They play to be alive with glory and money.
Lack of colors versus color films, predatory characters, and different budget are some of the descriptions of Classic Noir and Neo Noir, however the tale of the fisherman and the fish is the same, I think that later on we will see who is the fisherman and who is the preyS

There are several differences between classic noir and neo noir films. Some of them can be that the classic noir was in black and white versus neo noir in color, noir films were created in the early '40s and associated with with World War II while neo noir movies were produced in the late 20th century. Obviously the scenarios changed, while noir has a lack of space, hotel rooms or urban streets, might because the budget. Neo noir is film in places with more room and its lines are

The incredible quote!

The article, that I have read, the movie review of "Double Indemnity" is by Dennis Schwartz: "Ozus' World Movie Reviews", from the website sover.net. In the beginning, writer Dennis Schwartz, gives a nice description of the director/writer Billy Wilder and the whole unit including actors and actresses. He discusses about the strong acting power of actors, such as-MacMurray as Walter Neff, the protagonist of the story and another important male character played by Edward G. Robinson as Barton Keyes.
Schwartz talks about the relationship between the MacMurray and Robinson characters. He also talks about the odd attraction that two killers(Phyllis Dietrichson played by Barbara Stanwyck and MacMurray) have- defines the dark atmosphere of the prewar Los Angeles scene. Reading this article, really helped me to understand the characters very well. Now I know, what is the reason of lack of love in the relationship of Mr. and Mrs. Dietrichson. According to Phyllis, Mr. Dietrichson has become a sullen man since he has lost a lot of money in oil investments. On the other hand, Mr. Dietrichson possible reason for not loving her is, she has such a coldness in her beauty, which pushes him away from her.  I probably will use this particular issue to explain the topic of my essay.
I think amazed me after reading the article is, the best quote of the movie; which the writer used in his article. Since I have not seen the whole movie yet, I don't know exactly when MacMurray and Robinson have that conversation. It could be the scene before the last scene. When MacMurray confesses and tells the whole truth about his killing of Mr. Dietrichson; his last comments: "You know why you couldn't figure this one Keyes?" I'll tell you, "Because the guy you were looking for was too close--right across the desk from you." Keyes says, "Closer than that.
